You say you’re happy now, you say you’ve moved on But your smile betrays you. Is that some kinda con? I know what saved you, and how you got your scars. I know what runs through your veins. I know who you are. ch. Lift me up, take me higher than the soul could hope. Fill me up with desire in my heart and soul, And god only knows. Here’s my heart and soul. I’ve been out wandering, a million roads I roamed. Suddenly I see a hobo sign, a light that carried me home. My eyes can see again. My ears hear psalms. My heart is my church and my muse. It was there all along. ch. Bridge: I’m calling, Father, I’m calling I’m falling, falling to my knees. I’ve got to have absolution. Don’t leave me where I am. ch.

Rise in Love 04:09
All my life I’ve been falling trying to fill father-shaped holes Making lovers into mothers. It was all just fool’s gold. I was born on the other side of grace. Couldn’t reach the stars above. She told me I could get off the cross: “You don’t need to be a martyr to get love.” ch. All those voices in my head Tell them all, go haunt another. We looked as far as we can see All the lights were turning green So we danced in the fields of light above. We’re not falling – We Rise in Love. I bowed down to surrender. Won’t you make me complete? She said, “I love what you are that I am not. Now get up off your knees.” And the world opened up to us, and everything we’ve ever dreamed And all those stars we wished upon were thrown at our feet. ch. Bridge: We go higher and higher…and reach the stars above. (2) She said, “I can’t save you. I don’t want your soul. I’m not your missing half. I want you to stay whole.” ch. (repeated)
3.
I was broken, going down ‘Til you claimed me from the lost and found. You loved me, without conditions No defenses, no suspicions. You reached up and took my hand And you told me who I am. You freed me, you redeemed me So I could be the father that I never had. ch. I was lost ‘til you came to my rescue I - built my life around you (twice) And now I’ve got to let you fly Don’t look back, I’ll be alight. Now your time has come to shine All your dreams are before your eyes. ch. Bridge: Big city calls your name Ain’t nobody’s gonna get in your way Knock you down, and you get up. Don’t let nobody judge the thing that you love. There’s a light. And you’ve gotta let it shine There’s a light. And you’ve gotta let it shine, shine, shine. Ch.

Heavenly father, I know it’s been awhile. Can’t you hear me knocking? Won’t you let me inside? In sackcloth and ashes, I drop down to my knees My arms wide opened. Are you the Almighty? I pour out like water into a beggar’s bowl I’m conquered, I surrender…thy will, my soul. ch. Don’t leave me now – I’ve fallen for a blind kind of love. You said to give it all away for something that I’ve only heard of. A vision comes to me through gates of ivory. Can you make me pure again? Come and rescue me. Where are you Father? Thy will has been done I wait for deliverance at the gates of Eden. You filled my head with promises of bliss and ecstasy. But now it’s just darkness. It’s just…nothing. ch. Bridge: I thought I crossed the Rubicon But it was me who put these shackles on. I should have known it all along. Heaven doesn't own the soul Now I see I have control To free my soul to live and love again. (Coda) Hallelujah, Halla-Halla -- Hallelujah... Hallelujah, Halla-Halla -- Hallelujah...

Oh deep river…won’t you carry me home? I wasn’t born for this world, Lord. I know it down to my soul. And the world keeps on tossing me like a ship upon the sea. I sip the cup of sorrow, I’m bowed down on my knees. I held tight all through the night ‘til day was at my door. And when the morning came, I was shaken to my core. ch. I was on my knees when the light passed by. I’ll see you on the other side In the Promised Land, someday, By & By. Oh deep river. Lift me, Oh Wings of Love. My soul is bound for glory, child. Way up in Heaven above. I pour out like water, my heart has turned to wax. I walk the lonesome valley, it’s too late to turn back. The hour is growing late, and everything is still. I will cross on over. I’ll make it up that hill. ch. Well, they say the river is deep and wide I’ll see you on the other side. In the Promised Land, someday, By and By. (Coda) You can roll me now. Yeah, you can roll me now. Because I’m not afraid of anything now. ‘Cos I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, And then suddenly… I saw the land of my dreams for as far as I can see. They tell me of a home, somewhere past the skies We will be one again, someday by and by. Mine eyes have seen the glory, coming down the line We will be one again, someday by and by.

One morning, without warning…all out warring for my soul. Surrender, no choices. I hear voices tell me, “Let go. Let it go.” I’m not saying it was suicide, But I didn’t care if I lived or died. She told me she could make me new We were born again and dove into… ch. The Heart of Light (2) One morning on the seashore…I called out, “What more?” Something shook me down to my core. She was the vision I was waiting for. I don’t want to live on the surface of dreams She takes me to the very edges of extremes. She showed me beauty that I never knew We dove headlong and deep into… ch. The Heart of Light (4) Bridge: Eyes into eyes, souls into souls Hearts into hearts, I won’t ever let you go. Well, it’s love down to the marrow – Mountains kiss high heavens Moonbeams kiss the sea Darkness gave way to light -- a love supreme. You came to my rescue, you gave me a place to hide. I will lay me down and defend you and love you by and by. ch. (4)

We set out for the hinterlands filled with wanderlust. We followed the breadcrumbs our heroes left for us. Well, they turned those floodlights on. We set aim, let fly Blood brothers on my left and on my right ch. I was spinning ‘round and ‘round I was lost then I was found. Music was sweet salvation Liberation, exultation Hearts on our sleeves, eyes all wide. We were dreamers of the day -- and the night. I close my eyes and see us there young and full of desire, But I’ve got faith to burn, my heart is still on fire. We thought the world was ours. We knew no bounds, But I wouldn’t go back, not with the fire that’s in me now ch. Bridge: Something that burns so bright Doesn’t burn for long But it still lives inside of me And keeps me moving along. I’m still reaching for the light We’re still dreamers of the day – and the night. ch.

Sunday morning, I’m all in my head All those feelings of dread coming on. I’ve always been a little bit mad Always searching for my missing half. I took the love I thought I deserved And at every turn, I got burned. I was in pieces, coming undone. You took my scattered selves and made them one. ch. She freed me from the madness in my soul. So I could chase the joy and the wonder. Our love was written up there in the stars. You’re the most beautiful thing I ever saw. You were a vision of a lovesick moon That pulled at the tide and brought me you. ch. Bridge: Now with my penance done. There’s one thing I know. You were the only one…who loved my pilgrim soul…(2) In our hallowed place that we made sunshine on your face, your beautiful face. And for one moment, the world seemed right the darkness gave way to light. ch. She was the wave that pulls me under. And now we chase the joy and the wonder.

You blink and days turn into years. All that really matters is here. Every one of us is flawed, we’re all a child of god. Let’s make magic and beauty appear. Now lift yourself right up off the floor. Love like you’ve never been hurt before. I’ll give you new eyes to see & ears that hear a symphony. We’re not going back there anymore. Oh --- let your love light shine tonight. ch. Come on and shine your light Let’s live like the last night of our lives Come on and shine your light Because nothing lasts forever, no more compromise. Let me spin you off the ground. Let’s dance like there’s no one else around We raise our hands above our heads, let go of all fear and dread. We were born to make a joyful sound. Oh --- let your love light shine tonight. ch. Bridge: Well, the ghosts kept on coming so we drew a line. The past was too heavy so, we left it behind. Throw back your head and sing, come swing on a star. All we need is here. The future is ours. Oh – we’ll let our love light shine tonight. ch. (repeating)

Big Sky 06:05
Oh, great deep ocean Pull me out far from the shore. Bring me closer to knowing Won’t you -- open up the door? Take all my Earthly burdens And I will reach for the light. ch. Now I…can see the big sky. I see landing lights. Sunrise, light up the big sky. Landing lights will guide me home. Can you make me pure again? Lift me from this godless place Dream a new day dawning Shine down a moment of grace. I was sick as my secrets But I will reach for the light. ch. Bridge: When I woke up this morning. I never felt so alone. I dreamed of you in the half-light And I knew I had to make it home. ch. (repeating) I close my eyes and I can see it now. Everything we ever dreamed of is right in front of us. No god, no heaven, no hell No fear, no anger, no regrets There's only love and purity and music and beauty We're in rapture, chasing the muse, in blissful ecstasy Nothing in this world can hurt us now So come take my hand, we will be one Always and forever, and ever, and ever Even until the end of the world
