about

A lot had changed between Divine Weeks 1987 debut album, "Through & Through" and their getting signed to First Warning/BMG Records for their 1991 follow up, "Never Get Used To It" (released on the very same day as "Nevermind"). Grunge was about to explode and most significantly, they had a sad and painful parting of ways with co-founding member and guitarist Raj Makwana. New guitarist Matt Mahler brought a decidedly harder rock edge to DW 2.0. With this 2017 remastered deluxe edition of "Never Get Used To It," you get all of the band's output while on First Warning Records including the two EPs with the inspired covers of both "Think" and "Wanna Take You Higher" as well as their sublime cover of the old holiday chestnut, "O Holy Night" from the "Lump of Coal" compilation album. The band would break up a year later only to reunite with Makwana and put out the stunning comeback album "See Those Landing Lights" in 2016.
